What the extension does
SeaPapers Autofill fills a yacht recruitment application form with your own Career Passport data, from SeaPapers, when you click the toolbar icon. It never submits a form. You always press submit yourself.
What it can see
The extension only sees the tab you are on when you click the toolbar icon, and only from that click. It does not run in the background on pages you have not clicked it on, and it declares no content script that loads on its own. Its only network destination is seapapers.com.
What data moves
Your own Career Passport, name, contact details, nationality, availability, role, and certificate and visa expiry dates, is fetched from your SeaPapers account and held in memory for the session. It is not sold and not shared with third parties. It is never sent to the recruitment site by anything other than filling the form you asked the extension to fill.
When the extension meets a form it does not already recognise, it may send the field labels on that form, such as the wording next to each box, to SeaPapers, so the form can be understood and remembered for next time. The values you type into those fields are never sent.
Document numbers
SeaPapers holds the issue and expiry dates of your certificates and visas, so it can warn you before something lapses. Passport, identity, visa and certificate numbers are never taken off a document and never stored. If a reading picks one up it is dropped before anything is written down, and the extension never stores or fills a document number.
Credentials and access
The extension never sees your password. You connect it by approving a short-lived one-time code while signed in to SeaPapers on the web. You can end that access at any time from Settings, which lists every device connected to your account.
What we measure
The extension reports counts, how many fields it detected, mapped, filled and had you correct, and the domain of the site you were on, so we can measure the time it saves. No value you typed or that a field held is ever recorded.
