AUTOFILL · CHROME EXTENSION

Crew application forms, filled from your own details.

Keep your details once in SeaPapers. On a recruitment form, press Fill with SeaPapers. It shows you what goes where, fills when you say so, and you press submit yourself.

The extension is in review at the Chrome Web Store.

Already installed? Connect it to your account and Autofill uses your own details.

Three steps, and the last one is yours.

  1. 1

    Keep your details in SeaPapers

Name, contact details, nationality, availability, the role you are after, and the expiry dates on your certificates and visas. Filled in once, from the CV and the papers you already hold here.

  2. 2

    Press Fill with SeaPapers

Open the application form, click the toolbar icon, and the extension reads the boxes on that page. Nothing runs anywhere until you click it.

  3. 3

    Check the table, then fill

You see every box it matched and what it would put there. Tick what you want, correct anything, leave the rest. Then you read the page and press submit yourself.

What it will not do.

  • It never submits

The extension fills boxes and stops. There is no path through it that reaches a submit button, and that is enforced in the code rather than left to good manners. The application goes when you send it.

  • It never fills a document number

SeaPapers holds the issue and expiry dates on your certificates and visas so it can warn you before one lapses. Passport, identity, visa and certificate numbers are never stored, and the extension will not type one into a form.

  • It leaves other people's boxes alone

Next of kin, emergency contact and referee sections ask about somebody who is not you. The whole section is refused, so your own nationality can never land in your mother's box.
