Terms of Service
These terms apply from 19 August 2026. They are an agreement between you and SeaPapers, operated by Brandon Dax, a sole proprietor in South Africa. Contact: ahoy@seapapers.com. By creating an account or using seapapers.com you accept them.
What SeaPapers is
SeaPapers is a CV builder for superyacht crew. The editor is free to use: you can build a CV in any department and template, see it on the page, export your data and delete your account at any time. Pro is a paid annual subscription that unlocks the clean PDF export without a watermark, the Document Folio for your certificates and papers, and every other Pro feature as it ships. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what you put in your CV and your folio, and you confirm you have the right to upload it. Do not use SeaPapers to store or share anything unlawful, or anything that belongs to someone else without their permission.
Your content stays yours
Your CV, your documents and your data are yours. We store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell them, we do not use them to train models, and we do not show them to anyone unless you create a share link or ask us to. Delete your account and they go with it.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Pro is billed once a year, in advance, at the price shown to you at checkout in your local currency. It renews automatically every year at the same price you first paid, for as long as you keep it. You will get a receipt from Paddle for every charge. Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
You can cancel at any time in one click from the customer portal in your account settings. When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the year you have paid for and then stops. Nothing else is charged.
Refund policy
If Pro is not for you, tell us within 30 days of any charge, first payment or renewal, and we refund it in full. Email ahoy@seapapers.com from the address on your account, or reply to the Paddle receipt. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, through Paddle, usually within 5 to 10 business days. After 30 days a charge is not refunded, but you can still cancel so nothing more is taken.
Changes, availability and liability
We may change or add features. If we raise the price of Pro, the new price applies to new customers only; yours stays where it was when you joined. If we ever have to stop the service, we will tell you by email at least 30 days ahead and you can export your data first.
We work to keep SeaPapers available and your data safe, and we back it up. Even so, we cannot promise it will never be down and we are not responsible for a lost job, a missed contract or any other loss that comes from using it or from not being able to use it. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If we change them, the date at the top moves and the new terms apply from then. We will email you before any change that reduces what you get.
